Job Description:

This position will report into Corporate Treasury Operations and be responsible for the following duties: Accounting, reporting and analysis for fixed income securities (FAS 115) and new fixed income investments, as well as development/review of entries into the general ledger. Primary focus on GAAP reporting. Responsible for conducting and documenting month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting, as well as completing various financial analysis and projects, and/or maintenance of accounting systems. Strong general ledger knowledge and experience required.

Various GAAP month end close responsibilities including posting journal entries and account analysis.
Prepare quarterly and year-end GAAP schedules and financial statements that are utilized in the preparation of external reports such as the 10-K and 10-Q.
Assist in development of weekly and monthly production management reports including reconciliations and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
Maintain and reconcile moderately complex cash flow models used to value select structures and asset types.

Basic Qualificiations:

BS or BA degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
5-7 years of professional accounting experience, preferably with 2-4 years of investments or GAAP reporting focus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, accounting and financial reporting related to investments.
Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
Understanding of GAAP accounting.
Proficiency in data management.
Clearly demonstrated sense of urgency and bias for actio.
Shows initiative, self-motivation, desire to learn. Ability to work well under pressure.
Demonstrated ability to interpret technical material.
Takes ownership of problems and develops sound solutions.
CPA preferred
