Job Description:

Rapidly growing Residential Home Developer/General Contractor is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting and financial matters of our organization including monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, cash flow, financial systems, and interim financial statements. Must be of unquestionable integrity, possess a drive to succeed and accomplish team challenges in a dynamic, hard working, fast growing business environment. Position reports to CFO. One direct report, Accounting Clerk.

Responsibilities:

Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Master Degree preferred.
Experience with General Ledger, Trial Balance, Budgeting, Forecasting, Accounts Payable and Receivable.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to develop and analyze budget variances.
Strong Leadership and organizational skills.
Strong expertise with Microsoft Office, database and accounting systems.
Excellent Communication skills.
Previous real estate and/or construction industry experience
Experience managing books for multiple corporate entities
Strong interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to relate well with a variety of personality types.
Self starter with ability to multi-task.

Qualificiations:

Manage overall Accounting operations and functions for multiple corporate entities.
Cash management and cash flow forecasting including vendor scheduling, cash balances, and weekly cash reporting.
Maintain General Ledger & Trial Balances w/ end of month reporting and reconciliation
Bank Account Reconciliations.
Preparation of Financial Statements including P & L, Balance Sheet, and Budget.
Year-end Analysis, Schedules and preparation for review.
Preparation and submittal of construction draws
Analyze job costs vs budget to identify cost variances and report on job profitability
Complete Month End closing
Identify and resolve problems and inconsistencies, determining appropriate corrective procedures
Communicate and coordinate accounting policies, practices, and procedures with company managers, vendors, clients and customers.
Manage workload and priorities of Accounting Clerk
